Taylor Swift’s updated website and social media accounts point to a likely new music release from the singer on April 26. The updated Instagram and Twitter bios of Swift read “4.26,” leading to speculation about the possibility of release of an album or a single. Swift’s website features a countdown clock. According Pitchfork, fans in Japan and Melbourne also spotted billboards displaying an URL “aprilTwentySix.com,” that directs them to Swift’s site. In late February, Swift was photographed visiting a recording studio several times. Speaking at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 14 after accepting the award for tour of the year, Swift said, “I love your passion, I love your attention to detail, I love how much you care. I love seeing all the things you’re posting online. I just wanted to let you know that when there is new music, you will be the first to know.” The last album release from Swift was Reputation in 2018.
