Britney Spears has been granted a restraining order against former manager Sam Lutfi. A judge has ordered Lutfi, who has been in legal fights with the Spears family for a decade, to stay at least 200 yards from the pop star, her parents and her two sons. Lutfi’s attorney Marc Gans, issued a statement to E! News saying, “We are disappointed in the results. We feel this is overly broad and violates Mr. Lutfi’s constitutional rights.” “This is only temporary and we look forward to arguing the matter more fully at the hearing for a more permanent restraining order on May 28th,” Gans added. The singer and her family had requested a civil harassment restraining order against the 44-year-old, who is described as a “parasite” in the 81-page filing. According to the documents, Lutfi allegedly pretended to “have a professional relationship with Ms. Spears, even falsely claiming to have been her manager.” Spears also claimed that Lutfi has been sending harassing and threatening texts to her family and disparaging them on social media. “Mr. Lutfi’s actions have caused severe mental trauma at a time where Ms. Spears is recovering from stress related to her father’s health and her work,” the documents state. “Mr. Lutfi’s unjustified interference in her life … threaten Ms. Spears safety and well-being.” In January, Courtney Love and her daughter Frances Bean Cobain also secured a permanent restraining order against Lutfi. The judge who extended the five-year PRO noted that Lutfi “seems to prey upon people.” Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
