The streaming service announced the plan to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on artists and the music industry as a whole. The project is called COVID-19 Music Relief — where Spotify will partner with several different music charities.

These charities include MusiCares, PRS Foundation and Help Musicians. Through these partnerships, Spotify will help artists who are looking for financial relief during this unprecedented time.

For every donation made on the webpage, the Spotify music relief program will match the amount up to $10 million.

Not only that, Spotify also plans to launch another feature for artists to raise funds — either for themselves or others — that come directly from their fans. These can come through the artist’s Spotify pages.
